The Leigh Bess Boone Foundation awards multiple stipends each year to interns and volunteers in the visual and performing arts that have shown outstanding dedication throughout their internship. Organizations are encouraged to nominate their outstanding intern each round!
Volunteer Coordinators and Supervisors should fill out the following nomination form online, for interns that have exceeded expectations during their internship at the organization. Interns should supply a resume or statement of experience and interest in the arts.
In the event of multiple finalists, LBB Foundation may ask interns to complete an essay or interview and Coordinators will be contacted for a further interview.
The LBB Foundation defines an intern as someone who volunteers for an organization on a consistent basis in an unpaid capacity supporting the staff.
Eligibility for Organization:
Organization must support the visual and/or performing arts as part of their mission statement
Must be a registered non-profit
Eligibility for Nominee:
Have accumulated 90 hours in a six month period (between Sept 2012 and Aug 2013)
Unpaid for services rendered (college credit is okay)
Demonstrate continued involvement in arts (past, present and/or future)
Awarded money can be used at the discretion of the recipient.
Financial need will not be factored.
